Connect-Issue 39-August

august-front cover

Hi everyone.
Well is this not the best month ofthe year in Kerry?
We love August as the county is full of Festivals for all the family all month long.
We got to meet Kerry Rose Breda O’Mahony at the lovely Rose Hotel. We had lots of fun, chats, photos and in general a fun day out. What a lovely lady and a great ambassador for our county. We wish her the very best in her quest to keep the crown in Kerry this year. We also have a sneaky peek of all the other roses too in our centre pages.
Other festivals around the county are also featured . . . The ever popular Puck Fair, a great family event always and we have taken a trip around south Kerry to find out a bit about the upcoming Charlie Chaplin Comedy Film Festival. We strongly advise checking this out as it’s going to be a great weekend to finish off the Summer before school returns and routine is part of our lives again.
There was lots happening around the county in July and we have all the pictures from various events in case you couldn’t make it. We are also delighted to showcase the newest and hottest little spot for retail in Tralee town… ‘Island of Geese’ is home to some lovely shops and businesses and it’s certainly worth a visit.
Of course we also bring you some tips on getting Back to School, it’s not too far away and you can never be prepared enough so check that out. In the meantime enjoy some Festival Fun with the family and the last month of holidays before normality resumes.

Until next month,
Margaret x
