Hello again and welcome to CONNECT,
Lots happening this month, the nominations are now closed and it’s all systems go for the 3rd Annual Connect Kerry Women in Business Awards, to honour all the wonderful business women in Kerry.
We thank you all for taking the time to nominate and be part of this great event. It’s now over to the judges to make their decisions, we are looking forward to meeting everyone at our Gala Ceremony on Friday June 9th, at the wonderful Ballyroe Heights Hotel.
Other news this month – we are in Listowel as they prepare for Ladies Day on June 4th, so we took a trip around Listowel to see what’s available in preparation for the next few months as Listowel is full of festive fun all summer long.
Miriam O’Callaghan chats to Marisa about her love of Kerry, her busy life and family. Don O’Neill recently won the coveted ‘Irelands Favourite Designer’ at the VIP Style awards and we are really looking forward to attending the Launch of ‘Survive and Thrive’ A new book by Breeda Hurley, last year’s Lifetime Achievement award winner. In “Survive and Thrive: The Journey of a Lifetime”, Breeda gives a fascinating insight into the world of a woman who, over the journey of a lifetime, has juggled the demands of family and business life, sometimes failing, sometimes succeeding but never, ever giving up. She writes with honesty, compassion and humour as she describes a life that, at times, tested her to her very limits. We will have all the fun from this launch in next month’s issue.
We have all the usual tips, fashion and beauty advice and of course all the latest from the various events around the county. Our food tip this month is from the amazing ‘Cook for Recovery’ cook book supporting Recovery Haven. we will be featuring some lovely recipes in the coming months from this book, a real treat in store.
Summer is coming and we are looking forward to hearing what’s happening in your town so don’t forget to contact us with your updates. So we hope you enjoy your favourite monthly read,
Until next month.
