The delightful music of Handel surrounded the Great Southern last Thursday evening where a classical music event was held beneath the gold gilded ceiling of The Garden Room restaurant. Bedecked with Christmas lights, the setting could not have been more perfect for such a classy affair.
Local musicians Sean Treacy, Joel Reed and Bogumila Sokirko joined soprano Laura O’Keeffe in entertaining the guests with the music of legendary composer Handel amongst other timeless classics. Alongside the delightful entertainment guests enjoyed a 6 course tasting menu from Executive Head Chef, Gavin Nolan, and his team. Dishes served on the night included Duck Liver Profiteroles, Limoncello Sorbet and Stone Bass.
Event host and Hayfield Family Collection Managing Director, Michael Jacobi, said “It is an absolute pleasure for us to welcome our guests to such a delightful evening of classical music amongst the festive cheer that is abound in Great Southern at this time of year.
