Cruinniú na nÓg 2025 – A Celebration of Youth Creativity in Kerry

Kerry County Council’s Creative Ireland Office is proud to announce the return of Cruinniú na nÓg, Ireland’s national day of free creative activity for young people, taking place on Saturday, 7 June 2025. Young people across the Kingdom will have the opportunity to express themselves through creativity, imagination, and fun — Kerry style!
This year’s programme features over 60 free events coordinated by Emma Carmody, Creative Communities Engagement Officer, with support from the Kerry County Council Arts Office team. Events will be held throughout the county, offering a rich variety of artistic experiences for ages 0 to 18.
Cruinniú na nÓg is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to get out and enjoy a creative experience – improving their skills, being inspired, and making friends along the way,” said Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Breandán Fitzgerald. “We are very proud to be a country that celebrates youth creativity with this national day dedicated to it.
From circus skills and puppet-making to theatre, music, dance, creative writing, and comic book workshops, the programme has something to unleash a creative spark in every child and teenager.
We’ve made a particular effort this year to programme a range of activities for teenagers,” noted Emma Carmody, “with thanks to funding from the Night-Time Economy initiative we’ve got ‘Cruinniú Late’ events in Tralee and Killorglin. Along with a range of daytime activities for teens, we are hoping there is something in the programme for every young person, whatever their creative interest.”

Kerry has a wealth of creative talent,” said Kate Kennelly, Arts Officer and Creative Ireland Coordinator. “Following our open call earlier this year, Emma has curated a programme that highlights the incredible work happening across the county. There’s plenty for young people to enjoy and get involved in.”
Cruinniú na nÓg is presented in Kerry by the Creative Ireland Kerry Programme at Kerry County Council Arts Office, with funded by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media under the national Creative Ireland Programme.
