Huge thanks to everyone who has contributed and helped us to reach almost €80,000 of our target of €250,000. We are very appreciative of all the wonderful support we have received on our fundraising journey to date.
The month of August saw several events held to support Rose. We had a great day at The Barracks Gym in Castleisland where Stephen Cahill and Niamh O’Grady (Owners) Lorna Mallon (Organiser) and Donnchadh Callaghan and their team raised almost €1400.00.
The KVVCCC 11th Annual Ballymac Vintage Car and Honda 50 Run took place on August 8th. The event which was expertly organised by the club raised in excess of €6000.00 to support Rose.
We are also very grateful to Mary O Donnell Beauty and Born to Run Tralee Marathon Club who are currently hosting events on behalf of Help Rose Bloom. Further updates on these events next month.
Rose has continued with her weekly intensive physiotherapy sessions at Barefoot Physio and is exceeding expectations with her progress. She managed to stand upright and unaided for almost 20 seconds recently. This would have been unimaginable when she was initially diagnosed with SMA Type 1 over three years ago. Preparations for Rose’s scoliosis operation continue however it is unlikely to happen now until October / November.
Like lots of other children Rose will return to playschool this week and is excited to show her
friends her new wheelchair.
Finally we are thrilled to announce a very exciting fundraiser sponsored by Ian O’Sullivan of O’Sullivan Bathroom Renovations, Liber House, Monavalley who have donated an amazing Bathroom Makeover worth a staggering €6000.00.
