Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí TY students reach All Ireland theatre Drama Final

On the road and threading the boards the Gaelcholáiste Chiarraí students staged two plays at the recent Briery Gap Transition Year Drama Festival. ‘Gorta’, a play in Irish about The Great Famine, by TY  Coordinator Michelle D’Altuin, qualified for the All-Ireland to be held in The Everyman Palace Theatre in March. ‘Canteen Confessions’, written and produced by Mary Quirke of Qwerkation Productions, was highly commended. This play examines issues pertaining to the young people of today and the importance of peer support.
