Fundraising Campaign for 4-year-old Kerry girl with rare genetic condition

The Help Rose Bloom Fundraising Campaign is just over a month in existence and we have already reached almost a quarter of our target of €250,000. Rose and her family have been overwhelmed by the generosity and goodwill of the people of Kerry and beyond. We are extremely grateful to all who have donated and helped with fundraising events since our launch.

Rose has also had a busy month from becoming a Little Blue Hero to taking delivery of her first wheelchair complete with Unicorn Wheels. Thanks to people’s generosity Rose’s family can now begin the process of making the Family home wheelchair accessible and also plan for a ground floor extension to include a bedroom and bathroom for Rose.

As Rose prepares for an operation to correct the effects of Scoliosis on her spine which is now planned for September having been postponed due to the Cyber
Attack on the HSE IT systems in June she has commenced a period of weekly intensive physiotherapy sessions with Physiotherapists Alan and Sinéad of Barefoot Physio. These privately funded sessions have been made
possible as a direct result of the generosity of our donors.

August will be another busy month with several more Fundraising Events planned including The KVVCCC 11th Annual Ballymac Vintage Car and Honda 50 Run which takes place on Sunday, August 8th commencing at 10.00am at O Riada’s Bar and Restaurant, Ballymacelligott and proceeding on a return run to Dingle. Please come along and support this great event.

Check out our social media platforms of Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to follow some great online competitions and raffles during the month of August with some amazing prizes.
