Iveragh Business Meitheal

The LIVE Project, in association with Kerry County Council and An Turas Mór, are hosting a business networking day in Iveragh.

On Wednesday, 19th October 2022, the LIVE project with host the ‘Iveragh Business Meitheal’ in association with Kerry County Council and An Turas Mór. This business networking day will be held in the Sea Lodge Hotel in Waterville from 4pm -6.30pm.

On the day, local businesses, networks and community groups will have the opportunity to come together to learn more about the support available to small businesses, strengthen networks and share ideas.

One of the aims of the LIVE project, who are co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through its Ireland Wales Cooperation Programme, is to help extend the tourist season for the benefit of all residents of South Kerry.

The hope is that by bringing local businesses and communities together, ideas can be shared to help achieve this common goal and to work together to promote the region.

Orla Breslin, Local Coordinator for the LIVE Project, said, ‘This will be an opportunity for businesses on the Iveragh peninsula, particularly those with a connection to the tourism industry, to learn about supports that are available and potential collaborations for the future. We will have a mix of state agencies, some guest speakers, and, most importantly, a range of local businesses – it’s an opportunity for local businesses to come together in a relaxed atmosphere, to showcase their work and discuss how they can work together towards more sustainable tourism and potentially a longer season.’

This event is open to everyone, but those who would like more information or who would like to bring their marketing materials can contact Orla on 0863993241 or email live@ucc.ie. Full details will be announced over the coming weeks here: https://www.ecomuseumlive.eu/post/iveragh-business-meitheal
