Kerry Airport Ireland Welcomes Generous Funding From Department of Transport

Kerry Airport Ireland welcomes today’s announcement of over €1.4 million in funding from the Department of Transport.
Minister of State, Hildegarde Naughton confirmed that Kerry Airport will receive the grant under the Regional Airports Programme 2021-2025.
The CEO of Kerry Airport, John Mulhern, said: “We are grateful to the Minister Naughton, the Department of Transport and Kerry’s two Government TDs, Minister Norma Foley and Deputy Brendan Griffin for their continued support. The funding will help to ensure that Kerry Airport remains compliant with regulatory requirements in key areas, such as air traffic control, fire services and security.”
In announcing the funding, Minister of State at the Department of Transport, Hildegarde Naughton T.D., said: “This funding is a commitment by myself as Minster with responsibility for aviation and the Government of the importance of balanced regional development. I want to commend the management and staff at Kerry Airport for all of their hard work, particularly coming out of a global pandemic and how they have increased passenger numbers and driven demand. This funding today is a recognition of their work and a statement by Government of the continued support of our regional airports, particularly Kerry Airport.”
