Adults are not the only ones getting on their bikes on 28th May 2022 for the Ring of Beara Cycle. The event also has its very own cycle for children around the town of Kenmare. Not only does this give kids a chance to join in the days’ activities with their parents, but it’s free! Plus it’s a great way for kids to get outdoors and exercise in a fun and safe environment.
The Ring of Beara Kids’ Cycle is open to any child in national school between 3rd and 5th class. It starts at 10.00am on 28th May, well after the adults have set-off, and follows a 2km route around Kenmare town starting in Kenmare Square.
A team of marshals will supervise the route and help ensure the safety of all children who participate. Anyone who wishes to register a child for the cycle can do so from 9.30am at the marquee located in Kenmare Square on the day of the event. Parents and guardians are welcome to cycle with their children. All participants should bring and wear a safety helmet for the cycle.
So come along on 28th May and bring the kids for a fun event that will get them fit and happy! And tired! You do not have to be registered for the Ring of Beara Cycle for your child to take part, and cycling with your child is not mandatory.
Instead of cycling to boring old school, tell your kids they can do an epic cycle around Kenmare and receive their own a special medal when they cross the finish line!
