Listellick N. S is thrilled with eight new classroom school and fabulous P.E hall

Monday 20th February was an exciting day for pupils in Listellick N. S. They gathered in the morning in the old school and walked to the brand new school further up the road. 54 years ago pupils from the two roomed school in Listellick (now a dwelling house) walked to their new school on that first morning. This tradition was carried on by the pupils and teachers on Monday. Before everyone said goodbye to the old school they prayed for children in Turkey, Syria and Ukraine, then walked up the road class by class.
The whole school community in Listellick is thrilled with the new eight-classroom school and fabulous P.E hall. The rooms are warm, bright, spacious and colourful. The school was designed by Michele Sweeney of Oppermann Associates Architects and was built by Cahalane Brothers Limited.
