Michael O’Shea, accepted an award on behalf of Mark O’Connor at the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibne Municipal District awards held in Benners Hotel, Dingle last night (Thursday February 29th). Mark won an Australian Grand Final playing with the Geelong Cats Football Club in the Australian Football League in 2022. Mark, along with his teammate Zach Tuohy, became only the second and third Irish players to win an AFL title, following Kerry’s Tadhg Kennelly in 2005.
