David and Mary O’Connor, pictured with Leas-Chathaoirleach Cllr. Michael O’Shea, accepted an award on behalf of Mark O’Connor at the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibne Municipal District awards held in Benners Hotel, Dingle last night (Thursday February 29th). Mark won an Australian Grand Final playing with the Geelong Cats Football Club in the Australian Football League in 2022. Mark, along with his teammate Zach Tuohy, became only the second and third Irish players to win an AFL title, following Kerry’s Tadhg Kennelly in 2005. Photo: Michelle Breen Crean Photography

Michael O’Shea, accepted an award on behalf of Mark O’Connor at the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibne Municipal District awards held in Benners Hotel, Dingle last night (Thursday February 29th). Jockey Jack Kennedy accepted an award from Leas-Chathaoirleach Cllr. Michael O’Shea, at the Castleisland/Corca Dhuibne Municipal District awards held in Benners Hotel, Dingle last night (Thursday February 29th) for his overall success in National Hunt racing, particularly his victory in the 2022 Cheltenham Gold Cup, on ‘Minella Indo’.
