Spring Summer Sunglasses Trends 2022 Get ready for brighter days ahead!

A good pair of sunglasses are not just a Spring/Summer wardrobe staple, they are an all-year round, must have essential! Even in the depths of winter, I’ll have a pair of sunglasses on me, especially when driving. They protect your eyes and also the delicate skin around your eyes. Anything to try and avoid fine lines, eh? Definitely go to your local optician and try on what style sunglasses, suit your face shape and complexion. Square, round, wayfarer, cat eye…the list is endless! Think about balancing out your features. For example, someone with strong cheekbones might suit a round, softer pair of sunglasses, but an oval shaped face person might benefit from a pair of square sunglasses to add definition to their face. Don’t be afraid to try on a few different pairs to see what suits you best.

Classic Ray Bans

Get the look…
A designer pair of sunglasses are a great investment, if you mind them! They elevate any look, are so chic and hide a multitude! If that’s not for you, the high street do great designer dupes. Especially H&M, Mango and Zara. Also, try and get polarised ones, as they are designed to reduce glare from light-reflecting surfaces like water, glass or snow
– as well as protect your eyes from harmful UV rays. Le Specs are also a mid-tier brand with styles to suit everyone. Stars like Hailey Bieber and Meghan Markle wear them and the quality is excellent. Prices start from €35, so won’t break the bank!

Always back to black…
Eyewear trends come and go, but a pair of sleek black sunglasses never go out of style. There’s something so effortless and cool about a pair of classic square/rectangular shaped frames in glossy black and dark lenses to match. You’ll never grow tired of a black pair of sunnies, they suit everyone and will go with any outfit.

The Aviator
Another classic – the Topgun Aviator Ray Ban sunglasses will always make the cut! You can go for a classic tonal shade lens or go for a fun, bright pop of colour. Pink and brown gradients will add warmth to your complexion, while green and blue are perfect for people that suit cooler tones. Again, the aviator is a style that suits most faces and has been copied from high end designers to the high Street, season after season.

Oversized 70’s
I love an oversized pair
of sun glasses! The bigger the better in my opinion! They are just so glamorous and extra! Chloé is the designer brand that does this style to perfection. Chloé is known for its bohemian, feminine cuts and overall 70’s vibe.

Cat Eye
Another classic shape… Cat Eye sunglasses are flattering on all faces. Retro bold coloured cat eye sunglasses are very on trend right now in colours like red and royal blue. Such strong coloured glasses are not for everyone, but are a real statement and will make you stand out from the crowd.

Ice-cream Pastel Sunglasses Trend
Soft blues, pinks and greens are some of the most popular hues in the pastel trend this year. There was a lot of colour blocking on the runway, with models wearing head to toe lavender in both their clothes, shoes and sunglasses. Don’t be afraid to try on several shades and colours as you may be surprised with what will actually suit you.
