Women of Note – A show not to be missed

This show celebrates the music of epic female performers down through the years. Enjoy the music of artists from Peggy Lee to Billie Eilish, Whitney Heuston to Lady Gaga, and of our very own Jessie Buckley. Hear their songs, their stories and learn about the impact they have made. Join me, Grace Foley, and musicians Noel O’ Sullivan and Padraig Creedon with narrator Laura Reidy in the beautiful setting of the Gleneagle INEC Club, Killarney. 

This show is something I would like to tour and this first performance at the INEC will allow me to bring this concept to life in front of a live audience at an amazing local venue. In today’s world, the role of women is constantly changing and, I would hope, is being more understood and appreciated. The women whose music we will feature in this performance are not/were not only musicians. They are/were people with hopes and dreams and hardships. I want the audience to leave this show feeling like they really know and understand these incredible women. The show will include interesting facts about these women, as well as direct quotes of things they have said. Their images will appear on a projector screen on stage, thus making this show a true feast for the senses. 

I am very proud to be a woman and I am personally blown away by the incredible females who have had a huge impact on the music industry. I want to give our audience a show where they can enjoy great live music and also learn about these female trail blazers.
