What a great day we had at our Hair and Beauty Awards recently, the beauty industry of Kerry descended on the Rose Hotel for a day of celebration. We had our category winners and we also had a number of honorary awards, which are awarded for different reasons, some may be just starting out, more may be in the business for years and more may just have given a service that needs recognising and that is what we love about our awards, its gives us an opportunity to recognise those in the industry that make us look and feel great every day
Our honorary winners included- Sean Taaffe who has done so much for the hair industry in Kerry, and Anne O Shea from Killarney Hair studio celebrating 36 years in the business, Alison O Sullivan Vogue Beauty years of service to the industry. And lots more
Of course the highlight of the day was the Lifetime Achievement award that went to Mary O Donoghue of the Sanctuary Spa, Mary who has indeed seen many of the finalists on the day progress to lifetime careers in the industry was shocked and surprised to be awarded the honour, and was somewhat speechless when she arrived to the stage, Mary has a thriving business in the beauty sector and we are delighted to be able to honour her with this award while she is still in the throes of her role which she does very well every day, we were also delighted to be able to have her family there to see her receive her award which was a complete surprise to her.
All in all a fantastic day was had they partied into the night and of course huge thanks to The Rose Hotel. Mark Madeline and their team pulled out all the stops to ensure a superb meal was had by all.
To our sponsors we thank you one and all and really appreciate your support to ensure this day is possible and to all who gave raffle prizes to support our Fundraising Partner which this year is Moyderwell Mercy Primary School, we are on a mission to invest in some new iPads for their technology room and its progressing very well, we will give a final update on this when the year ends in June, but it safe to say the children attending will enjoy enhanced technology in September of next year.
